What room arrangement do I plan to use in my future classroom? Why did I choose this?
First off, creating an arrangement that allows me to move around the room with ease to monitor the students and provide assistance, is crucial. I personally loved the idea of having desks arranged in a non-traditional manner. I want my students to have the ability to interact with one another and feel as though the classroom is a comfortable, safe environment. I like when desks are arranged in a large 3-sided square, with no desks across the front of the room. This formation allows me to easily see and access the students, as well as, create a sense of togetherness. I personally think students will focus and put forth more effort in a comfortable, close-nit classroom.
